Although your Hoopla may look very hardy, like all beautiful things, it needs to be treated kindly to keep it’s beauty.
Below are a few tips to keeping your Hoopla in the condition you received it so you can get the most from your bag.
Use a damp cloth to wipe your Hoopla once or twice a week to get rid of the daily grime. Regularly use a reputable cleaner made specifically for leather to remove any build up of dirt and grime.
Leather is porous so if it gets wet or is involved in a spill it might leave a mark! It’s important to dry any liquid immediately to avoid staining or damage.
If your Hoopla gets soaked:
- let it dry naturally,
-
don’t use a heater or hair dryer to speed up the process, it can lead to damage.
Like our skin and our hair, your leather Hoopla needs conditioning. Apply a leather conditioner with a soft cloth to keep your bag supple and help maintain the vibrant colour. It will depend where you live and the level of dryness or humidity in your climate as to how often you should condition but we would recommend a minimum of twice a year.
When storing your Hoopla, never store it in plastic, keep it in the dust-bag it came in or in a pillowcase. If you are storing for an extended period of time, stuff your bag with craft paper or a cushion to help keep the shape. Avoid using newspaper as this can leave stains.
Leather loves to take on colours from other materials, like jeans or brightly coloured fabrics. Please avoid direct contact with clothes that are non-colour-fast, they are likely to leave a stain on your Hoopla that will be a challenge to remove.
Avoid leaving pens without lids in your Hoopla, always store cosmetics in a separate bag and make sure the lid on your water bottle is always done up tight!
Generally, be kind to your Hoopla and it will pay you back double by keeping it’s shape, colour and finish.
